QUALITY CONTROL

Put the written quality standard into every production stage

Inspection principle: A granite project order should be inspected against the approved sample, fabrication drawings, dimensional tolerances, surface finish, accepted colour range and written acceptance criteria. Control points run from block selection and measurement through finish approval, dry lay, final inspection and reinforced packing.

01

Block selection

Confirm source, base colour, grain and production batch.

02

Dimensional checks

Check thickness, length, width and diagonal tolerance against drawings.

03

Finish approval

Compare flamed, bush-hammered, honed or polished surfaces with the approved sample.

04

Colour sorting & dry lay

Sort by the accepted colour range and installation zone before packing when required.

05

Protection & final inspection

Confirm agreed stone protection and complete the finished-product inspection.

06

Reinforced packing

Check pallet or crate, corner protection, strapping and shipping marks.

Documents a project buyer may request

  • Current company quality-management documents
  • Physical performance test report for the specified granite
  • Order inspection record, dimensional sampling sheet or dry-lay photographs
  • Export-crate fumigation or ISPM 15 documentation when applicable

Document name, validity, applicable product and issuing body must be checked against current originals. This website does not present unverified certificate numbers or test values as public facts.

QUALITY CONTROL FAQ

Questions project buyers ask

What controls acceptance of a granite project order?

Acceptance should follow the approved granite sample, fabrication drawings, dimensional tolerances, finish, colour range, packing attachment and written acceptance criteria.

Does this published workflow replace project inspection criteria?

No. It describes common control points. Sampling rate, tolerances, tests and pass-or-reject rules must be specified in the project documents.

Which quality documents can a buyer request?

Depending on the project, buyers may request current quality-management documents, a test report for the specified granite, order inspection records, dry-lay photographs and applicable export-packing documents.

How should colour variation be controlled for a large project?

Approve a reference sample and acceptable colour range, organise production by block batch, then use numbering, colour sorting and dry-lay photographs to confirm installation zones.
